Downgrading a pool / Changing the pool settings

Hello everyone,

I have Two tanks, correctly one of my Tanks is about 80% full, and within that tank there are two drives both, 4TB and in mirror mode. I truly don't need mirror mode for this Tank, if I lose a drive it isn't that big of a deal, that being said can I take a drive out wipe it and add it back into the tank as a strip instead of mirror?

With a striped pool, if you lose one of the disks, you will be unable to access any content on the entire pool.

You can certainly take it out and then add it as a new vdev. Whether thats a good idea or not is up to your use case

Ok maybe this isn't the best option for me. I think I just need to upgrade my Motherboard, and then add drives
