Got my first temperature email tonight. Was a little worried but forgot that I had a scrub scheduled. (the default) 302M/s (ok speed?) around 12% CPU usage.

43 44 40 40 is the temperatures right now at 95% done.
ada1 (44*C) generated an email one hour after start about hitting 45*C. It seemed to hover at that or just below a few times.
Not a huge increase from normal temp but I'd like to see temp below 35*C normally.

The server can be forced to run at full fan speed but I'd like an alternative. Maybe a different disk mount or adding a fan.

An update regarding powerd.
I can not measure any difference with it on or off. So at most the difference is between a half and one watt.
Listing directories does seem snappier and more responsive so definitely leave it off.

So I have now pulled everything else on the UPS leaving only the T20 giving me the option to accurately measure power.
45W and 62VA at idle. Jumping up from that occasionally.
This is with 4x 4TB RED, 4+8GB Dell(Hynix) ECC RAM, and an extra Intel 100Mb NIC. Powerd disabled (as I didn't see a real benefit).

An update.

I put tape on the inside of the front except for where disks are. (left a hole for ambient sensor)
Tape on the side vent and replaced PCIe cover thingeys with solid plate. (included came with vent holes)

So now the air is forced over disks which results in much lower temps. All disks are now 35*C except one at 36*C.

I am now satisfied with cooling and it should keep up fine with any demands I have.
45*C was not reached last scrub so I don't know how high it went.
