Fresh user here, trying a fresh install from the latest iso in the download section and have taken the following measures:
- It was created on a 16 GB Kingston USB3 stick (I don't have any USB2 sticks) and consider that good quality until someone says something else.
- Linux Mint inherent tool was used to put the image on the USB stick.
- SHA256 was used to check the downloaded image.
- Deselect swap
- Put the stick at the back of the machine instead
My system:
- Two Kingston 120GB SSD drives. Will be used for a mirrored install.
- Consumer grade Mobo with 8 core AMD processor and 16GB RAM.
- No HDD:s attached yet - I am missing two drives to set up a 4 unit RAID5 type of pool (I know, I have not yet learned the proper terminology) - they are in the mail. I was thinking to start configuring the system instead of waiting for them... =)
- This will be for home use.
Grateful for any pointers that could get me unstuck.
