HI,

Every time I restart my NAS, it is not automatically accessible, though the System can be seen and can be "PING-ed" from the client's Windows Explorer.

However, I found that if i switched the CIFS toggle OFF and turn it ON again, it will be accessible.
The thing is, I need to turn OFF my server after office hour to save some bills.
Is there anyway that I don't have to do that? that is quite tedious if I have to do it every morning. Any idea?

My system:
System: 9.2.1.7
Processor: Intel i3-4130 3.4GHz
Memory: 2x 4GB
HDD: 2x 1TB WD Blue
Shared by several PC (Windows 7)

Are you able to navigate to your server's CIFS shares by IP-ADDRESS? (ie \\192.168.0.14\Share)
If you don't have a DNS server configured or an entry in your hosts file, your workstations will default to using NetBIOS for discovery. NetBIOS is a legacy (where legacy = crufty, buggy, nasty thing that we can't get rid of quite yet) peer-to-peer protocol and it can take up 10-15 minutes for servers to appear.
As far as things go for me:
1-5 computers: use hosts file
6-20 computers: complain about the problem to random coworkers
21+ computers: recommend setting up AD.
