Okay, I am really new at this.

I am trying to set up FreeNAS 8 on an old Compaq system. I have added a Sabrent SBT-SRD2 PCI Serial ATA controller card and attached 2 Seagate 3TB Barracuda drives.
FreeNAS loads, but when I go to the WEBGUI, it does not see the drives
When the sytem boots, I have tried pressing F4 to configure RAID, but I get an error "NO Device Detected Utility Device Disabled press any key to continue"

What am I doing wrong?????

The Silicon Image 3512 chip is... poorly supported, and in fact just generally poor. It's from 2003, and may not be able to handle modern >2Tb drives. If you websearch "sil3512 freebsd" you only get bad news.
