Can acces shares by name but not IP.

Hi all. I recently swapped all the data drives in my server and created a new pool. I also recreated my SMB shares. I seem to be having a fair bit of bother. The main issue I have is that I can access the shares over the network if I use \\truenas, but not if I substitute the name for ip address. Which Is weird because that's how I always used to access things. Both in windows and Ubuntu if I try and access the share by IP I get a credentials prompt but nothing works. In Ubuntu I can't even seem to get in with smb:\\truenas.

Any ideas?

Oh. Actually I think I may have sorted it by ticking "windows account" under my user account.
