Build 8r6817 - Volume Change Permissions does not work.

Created a new build today and when I tried to change the write permission, it failed. I have a RAIDZ of 4 drives. This worked fine on the previous build a few weeks ago but much has changed since then.

So open the Change Permissions window and in the Mode section I check all boxes and make the change, well when I open the Change Permissions window again all the Write boxes are unchecked. I cannot get the write boxes to stick.

Also I cannot Destroy the volume I created. Very odd.

I will build again from a clean machine to see if there was something left over from the last build I created but that will take a while. as my internet speed isn't very fast. If a clean build fixes it, I will post it but it won't be until tomorrow. Did I mention slow internet?

A clean rebuild had the same results. Since this was not a formal release build I'm just reporting this issue but the programmers may very well have this under control.

I have tried builds back to 6790 with same results but build 6754 works fine. I'm building 6800 right now, see how that goes.

I submitted a ticket and the problem is now resolved.
