Hi everyone,
I'm new to FreeNAS. Here is my setup. I have an old WD Sentinel DX4000. I decided that it was time to use FreeNAS instead of the windows server edition.
The DX4000 does NOT have a monitor output. Which is not a problem since I was able to locate a serial port on the motherboard. So I soldered some leads and here I am with a functioning serial port.
I then used my PC to install FreeNAS on a USB drive (using the "Serial Enabled" option).
Everything works great and boots up but I have a small issue. Everytime I boot, FreeNAS stops and display the following:
'error: no suitable video mode found.
Booting in EFI blind mode
Press any key to continue...'
Is there any way to disable the request to press a key to continue??
I am planning to leave this server without a keyboard and I would love for it to boot up without intervention.
Thanks
Pat
