Ok, I am a bit confused. I have the same issue as noted above, where I cannot see any terminal messages beyond POST. If it edit the GRUB settings and set the KERNVT to "vt", I can see the terminal output until next reboot.

In the latest update to FreeNAS-9.10.1-U1 (ff51a5d), I was hoping something would be fixed with this. Have I missed something?
Thanks for any help.
It is fixed, but you have to manually regenerate the GRUB config:

grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Have you tried both vt and sc?

also try to reinstall the old version and it shows the same error.
But it was working before?

You have SSH access to the server, right? I assume everything is normal, there?

It sounds like it might be a hardware failure (or BIOS update gone wrong or whatever).
