Hardware/OS:
WD 2TB - Western Digital Black - /dev/ada0 (additional drive we installed for zpool)
WD 2TB - Western Digital Black - /dev/ada2 (additional drive we installed for zpool)
1TB - Seagate Barracuda 3.5 - /dev/ada1 (standard drive that comes in the Dell T310s we use)
8GB RAM
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1225 v5 @ 3.30GHz (temps for each of the cores ~29-34C)
FreeNAS OS - 11.2-U5 (was happening on 11.2-U4 as well)
Issue:
FreeNAS is yelling at us that the ATA error count has increased, and the zpool is degraded, which is sending alerts to Nagios. Which is all well and good, and what we want. But I haven't been able to find a source of these errors, or what's really going on. The drives having the issue are the ones on the zpool, which are mirrored with no hardware based RAID. (ada0 and ada2 in this server)

Been researching this for a few hours, and even ran SMART long and short tests on /dev/ada2 which all come back with no errors, but everything is saying there is something wrong. The SMART error of "ABRT" is great, but when it says "command leading to error" and leaves it blank makes it difficult to research. This is affecting two of our NAS's right now. This one with 2x 2TB drives and another NAS which has same chassis(processor, OS drive, memory) but the drives are 2x 4TB instead.
Any help would be hugely appreciated!
