I am running Freenas 11.1-Stable.

I have recently got alerts that both drives in my array seem to have an unusually high error count. I am new to this whole NAS thing and so my knowledge is very limited. Should I be concerned? What might be causing my errors? I have placed smartctl -a output for both of my drives below. I appreciate any help! (Sorry for my limited knowledge.)

Output of smartctl -a for first drive:

What might be going on? I am using Western Digital Black drives, are these inappropriate for RAID storage? Once again, thanks for any help.

Powered_Up_Time is measured from power on, and printed as
DDd+hh:mm:SS.sss where DD=days, hh=hours, mm=minutes,
SS=sec, and sss=millisec. It "wraps" after 49.710 days.

Your disks are reporting an unusually high number of hardware resets. If it were a single disk, I'd say replace it. With two disks, I'd investigate bad power. Failing PSU, dodgy cables, etc. At a minimum, reseat all power cables.

Thank you for your reply. I will re-seat all cables as soon as I can get to the physical server. Could these hardware resets cause damage to the disk over the long term?

In addition, my server is a Dell PowerEdge T30 Server, BTX, with a stock power supply. I have heard stock Dell power supplies tend to be on the cheap side, how likely do you think that is the root cause?

Your drives seem to be running awfully warm. Not sure if it would contribute to the problem but running them cooler than they currently are won't hurt.
