Hello all, nice to meet you!
I've been lurking and reading for a long time and had a question about a motherboard candidate. Now I read a few supermicro motherboard naming posts, but I still can't tell the difference between these two boards. Can someone fill me in? Somewhere I recall reading the + means more dimms? But the specs are the same as far as I can tell.

As far as I know the only difference is the provision of a CPU fan on the "+" model.

Those motherboards won't work out-of-the-box on FreeNAS 11. You'll have to use a nightly or wait for FreeNAS 11.1

The networking chips require a newer driver, and it looks like you have install FreeNAS in UEFI (not legacy) boot mode.
