Yes, but you must ensure that you do not update your pools to a newer version of ZFS or you could be stuck with a later version of FreeNAS. So when you update you may get an Alert flashing in the corner of the GUI, click on it and you can click on the item causing the alert to occur to disable that alert. An upgrade to a later version of ZFS is safe to ignore and it will ensure you being able to roll back to an earlier version.

I just noticed ho old this posting was, guess it took you a while to consider the upgrade. Also, 11.1-U5 is out but is new, I would wait a few days to see how this works before using it. Some people have reported no issues, some have reported issues.

is there later a way to revert it back just in case ?
Kind of hard to keep a discussion going when you wait six+ months to reply. But yes, there is, just select an earlier boot environment at the boot menu. As @joeschmuck says, don't upgrade your pool until you're sure you want to stay with 11.

What are the benefits to upgrading to 11 from 9.10?
