9.10.2 Volume migration

I have been dealing with 5TB volume and old HDDs, now having brand new 8 x 2TB drives and I wonder what would be the best config for these HDDs. The storage would be connected to vmware 6.5 vcenter through iscsi.

VMs love IOPS which means mirrors. (Or SSDs. Or both.)

A striped mirror of eight 2TB drives would give you 8TB of useable storage.
