Hello,

I have upgraded my freenas setup to 11.3 U5 from 11.2 U8. I did this doing a clean install with new media and uploading the old 11.2 config.

I have an ongoing issue whereby the system is alerting: Certificate 'freenas-pre-certui' has expired. This post discusses and appears to be an open issue - should I be concerned by this, is there a fix?

Thanks in advance,

PiP

Mine is still sat there like a turkey from when I logged that bug (which was IMO erroneously closed):

It no longer alerts, thanks to the "fix" implemented, but I never even got any explanation of whether the system-generated cert 'freenas-pre-certui' is important. Or whether it was ever important.

I've seen similar queries go past here in the forum every month or two since, never seen any useful replies.

Thanks for the reply JamieV - what was the "fix" you implemented?

I didn't, I just left it there since I still don't know if it's needed.

The not-really-a-fix that Development implented was to not fire an alert on it any longer.
