Hi folks,
TrueNAS-12.0-U2.1 - middlwared.log has this error 5 times a minute:
[2021/04/29 14:12:40] (DEBUG) CryptoKeyService.load_certificate():396 - Failed to parse signature algorithm md5WithRSAEncryption for <cert>
I know there's been a lot of discussion as far back as 2012 about the cert itself, and various bugs recorded, closed, closed as dupes, fix implemented (or not, it's unclear). All I want to know is how to stop these errors without turning off debug logging. Can I delete the cert? As it expired 10 years ago, fairly sure it's not going to be doing much for me. over 95% of the log file is comprised of these errors, making it difficult to see errors I might care about.
I exported it so I could view it in Windows, and when I did that, I saw some DNS lookups for the freenas-pre-certui.[mydomain] name, which failed. I have DNS logs going back months, and it's the only time I see that.
TIA
DM
