1 Drive goes UNAVAIL every time I reboot

Hi,
I built my NAS yesterday on the stable version of TrueNAS SCALE. Installation was difficult and slow, but eventually I was able to get it working. I configured my vdev as Raid-Z2. Everything was working well, and I started to move some of my data into this system (~600 GB). Eventually, I rebooted the system and was taken aback when it came back online and my pool status was DEGRADED.

1 of my drives was not showing up, however when I go to disks I see all of my 6TB drives there. Attached Screenshot:

I ran a manual SMART test on all of my drives and it was successful. Eventually I thought it might have been an error so from the Pool Status window I began to replace the missing disk with the disk that it was recognizing as not part of the pool.

The resilver process began and took ~40 minutes. The drives were online and working again. To test if it was a one off thing, I rebooted my server and now had the same issue again. I was afraid that it might be the boot drive connected to the IO Crest card. So I switched the SATA cables around, rebooted the system, resilver and still same issue upon reboot. Now I'm thinking that it's a hard drive issue but these hard drives are not even a week old and I got them from Best Buy. So I just want to make sure if anyone else has faced something like this in the past? or I should really go return these drives.

Here are the specifications:
  • Intel Core i5-12500
  • asRock H670M-ITX
  • 16gb DDR4 RAM
  • Kingston 120GB SSD - for boot
  • 5 - WD Red Plus 6TB Hard Drives
  • Corsair 450W Platinum PSU
  • Intel Optane 16gb - for L2ARC
  • IO CREST Internal 5 Port Non-RAID SATA III 6GB/s - for additional SATA ports

Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated. <3

Maybe your PSU is a little too close to the limit and can't take all drives spinning up on boot, so one drive misses out.

Just a theory, but worth a thought.

How did you switch the cables - one end or both ends?

I would definitely try to completely change the cable to the failing disk before simply returning the disk.

Also -

Is that a suitable device for TN - almost certainly not (however for use as only a boot device - its probably OK) just don't be tempted tro use this for a data vdev disk

I thought that 12th gen wasn't supported at the moment - although it shouldn't be causing disk issues.

According to the picture you only have 4 SATA ports on the board which means you likley have one data drive on the IO Crest board - thats I suspect a big no no - unless the IO Crest is one of the few (5%) OK boards which it almost certainly is not. You really should be using an LSI HBA for stability
