Hi,
I built my NAS yesterday on the stable version of TrueNAS SCALE. Installation was difficult and slow, but eventually I was able to get it working. I configured my vdev as Raid-Z2. Everything was working well, and I started to move some of my data into this system (~600 GB). Eventually, I rebooted the system and was taken aback when it came back online and my pool status was DEGRADED.
1 of my drives was not showing up, however when I go to disks I see all of my 6TB drives there. Attached Screenshot:
I ran a manual SMART test on all of my drives and it was successful. Eventually I thought it might have been an error so from the Pool Status window I began to replace the missing disk with the disk that it was recognizing as not part of the pool.
The resilver process began and took ~40 minutes. The drives were online and working again. To test if it was a one off thing, I rebooted my server and now had the same issue again. I was afraid that it might be the boot drive connected to the IO Crest card. So I switched the SATA cables around, rebooted the system, resilver and still same issue upon reboot. Now I'm thinking that it's a hard drive issue but these hard drives are not even a week old and I got them from Best Buy. So I just want to make sure if anyone else has faced something like this in the past? or I should really go return these drives.
Here are the specifications:
Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated. <3
