Count a third request... Although there may be an issue because you really need Newznab+ before it works well. Newznab+ is distributed and updated via Subversion and they also request a donation before providing access.

Just like alot of the other requests this is just a php program. you would need a backend database + webserver with php to get it running. We really would need a modular way of doing this to have it as a pbi. As it stand I recommend you just set it up like you would on a standard freebsd box.

Hello,
Openstack probably will be the most used cloud framework.
Openstack "compute" subsystem supports already a special nexentastor driver.
Openstack "swift" storage subsystem needs low level "bricks" to store data.
I kindly ask you for a plugin that let Freenas be used as a brick for swift or a plugin to let freenas be used directly as a storage for "compute".

Thanks,
Mario

A Minecraft plugin would be nice. I knew I went overkill on my server for a reason.

If a pbi is out of the question, I'd be perfectly happy with a very detailed walk through of how to setup all the components needed to run the Newznab+. Preferably run within the jail. I know it needs Apache, MySQL & PHP installed, but have no clue how to install and configure them. Let alone get Newznab working.

Although I'm a FreeBSD newb, I've had my FreeNAS 8.2 and then 8.3 running with SABnzbd, SB, CP, HP, maraschino & MySQL for over 1.5 years successfully (thanks mostly to you) I'd be willing to help to the best of my ability. I can follow instructions extremely well but am a UNIX/FreeBSD novice.

Let me know how I can help if anyone wants to work with me on getting this setup and working in a FreeNAS 8.3 jail. PM me to keep this out of the wrong thread.

newznab only requires a web server, not Apache specifically. Nginx would work just as well, and there have been multiple threads on the forums here covering how to setup nginx + php (even threads from Joshua). There have been threads for setting up MySQL (like this one, ignore that it's for XBMC and MySQL, it still requires setting up MySQL). The remaining piece is installing php for command line usage and svn to pull the newznab source (assuming you're using the paid version, which is suggested since the free version doesn't have up to date regexes).

Walkthrough in the works, though newnabs one of the most difficult to setup it will be a very detailed guide I'm writing.

Excellent! As usual you are the best. Let me know if I can be of any help. FYI - Donation coming your way not just because of this, but I don't think I would have been able to get through most of the jail stuff without your amazing write-ups and videos. Much appreciated!

Logitech Media Server (Squeezebox Server)

This is the server (perl based) that supports Logitech's Squeeze media servers: http://www.mysqueezebox.com/download

As you'll see, there are already RPM, DEB and Perl source code freely available. Should be easy to package.
