Hi,

In this forum is much discussion about these Supermicro boards, recommended RAMs etc.

But what about heatsink?

I would be looking for the cheapest option that gets the job done, noise is no issue (and power consumption to first order neither); it should just be stable for 24x7.

Any (nicely priced) recommendations?

X10SLL-F boards are equpped with a GLA1150 socket. So you have a lot of choise. If you buy/have a boxed CPU stick with the boxed cooler. It will do a good job. If you have/buy a CPU without a cooler you could go with a cheap brand like Artic (if that is available in your part of the world). A brand like Cooler Master has also some budget offerings. Some models of Scythe are also decently priced. Did I already mentioned SilverStone or Thermaltake? But really, there is so much available that it is almost impossible to give you a good advice for your use case. The best you can do is stick to a budget and look at tests on the web.

The stock cooler. Why is there any doubt about this?

Great, I did not even know that that the boxed CPU contains a cooler.

I ordered a boxed CPU. So problem fixed.

Not all boxed CPU's come with a cooler. Most of them do but it is a bit depending on the model. But I saw in your other thread that you ordered a Pentium G3260. And yes it should have a cooler in the box.
