Ive been dealing with this "Data Stale - Check Driver" problem since I got a Supermicro board. I never had the issue before that. So I knew the driver was fine. Ive tried the workarounds increasing the MAXAGE to 25 then to 30, and in both cases it seemed that the problem got worse. I tried every USB port on the machine to no avail. So what I ended up doing was getting a cheap USB 2.0 PCI card off of eBay (Via Chip). I installed that and plugged the UPS into that card (ugen 2.2) and voila been 4 days and my logs are eerily quiet now. I have not seen any messages dealing with UPS. It seems that indeed there was some sort of conflict going on with the onboard USB, Supermicro (and possibly the IPMI) and the CyberPower 1350LCD. I paid a whopping .99 cents on ebay for the card (auction) and 2.38 cents to have it shipped, so for anyone who is facing the same issues, give that a try if you can spare the 3.50. It worked for me. Good luck.

I had the same problem with a CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD connected to a Supermicro X9DRi-LN4F. Using the GUI, I added pollinterval = 15 to the ups.conf file, and MAXAGE 30 to the upsd.conf file and it's worked perfectly ever since.

I was mistaken about these aux settings solving the 'Stale data' error with the Cyber Power CP1500PFCLCD model UPS.

I've gotten the 'stale data' error twice since I posted about this subject in May '17. Maddeningly intermittent -- our favorite kind of problem!
