Good Afternoon.
I am setting up my FreeNAS server and have ran into an issue I can't seem to find a work around for...
Setup:
FreeNAS - 9.3.1
Server - Dell PowerEdge 2950
SAS - Dell SAS2008 6GB HBA (part number 12DNW)
1. The card is in IT mode, but it is on version 7.
2. I have created my MS-DOS boot disk, but I can't a driver download version of 20 that allows being updated with the MS-DOS version of sas2flash.
3. The Dell 2950 server doesn't support EFI booting, so I can't use the sas2flash.efi version.
So here is my two questions/options...
1. Does anyone know where I can download FW for the SAS card that I can update with the MS-DOS version?
2. If not, what is the risk of keeping my SAS card on version 7?
Thank you,
Andy
