I have tried all I could think of to get around this. It appears that Truenas thinks the volume (locked with a pass phrase) is unlocked. When you try and lock it however it says it cannot because it is locked already, which is the state I thought it should be in. Somehow when I shut down it has stayed convinced the volume is still locked.
I've seen this before and a reboot normally clears this. This time though that does not seem to work. I have stopped and deleted all services that were referencing that zvol in the hope that would stop whatever it is from happening. It feels like it has a flag of some sort saying it is unlocked to the UI but the reality is it is actually locked.
Is there some form of forced lock or unlock that I could use to regain access to the volume?
