@r0nski2000 I think you can do some research on your own as for what this signal does, there should be lots of info on the internet about it.

Does the "electric tape across B5 and B6" mod have the same effect as disabling "SMBus to PCI slots" -

It does for the card you place the tape on, the rest of your system would remain uneffected. If you move the jumpers then it removes this signal to all the slots. I choose to minimize the problem to just the one card using the tape, even though I hate the idea of using tape.
