X10SDV-4C-TLN2F Help!

This is my first "true" server build (I've always used my old PCs as servers, but now I'm actually trying to build one from scratch.) I recently got a hold of a X10SDV-4C-TLN2F. No matter what I do, I can't seem to get LAN3 or LAN4 to work (RJ45 10GBase-T ports.) The IPMI works fine, but LANs 3&4 won't even give me link lights.

I've tried using CAT6 and CAT5e.

I'm connecting to a Linksys 10/100 Workgroup Switch (Model #EZXS88W ver3.)

The MOBO uses SoC with Intel's D-1500:

In the BIOS I've tried all sorts of things (enabling "Network Stack", turn on PXE, turn it off...)

Starting to wonder if I need to get a 10G switch. Would either need one that supports 10Base-T through 10G or one where I can configure the ports as I'm not upgrading all of my other devices to 10G.

Any suggestions would be most welcome! I'm feeling like a noob!

Here is a link to the MOBO manual:

Mine is the version with just LAN3 & 4 (so no jumpers to set.)

Well, there's your problem. You're using obsolete hardware.

Many 10GbE NIC, including those that are part of the Xeon-D platform, do not support speeds lower than 1 Gb/s.

I was starting to suspect that....

I have an old Netgear FS726T that has 2 GB ethernet ports on it. I ran some new cable to it, and voila! I have link lights. Thanks for the help!
