What's the purpose of Root in TS Scale?

1) If I do a fresh install of TrueNAS Scale and select the "admin" route as administrator instead of root, then what is the purpose of the root account after installation?

2) Are you supposed to use the root account as "runasuser" for applications?

From a general sysadmin perspective: absolutely not. It has been considered bad practice for decades under UNIX and Linux alike.

Disclaimer: I am not a Scale user and there might be additional angles in that context. Although someone would have to present me with a really reason for that.

Others please chime in. In Scale, which account are you supposed to use for "runasuser" in applications? I looked up some youtube videos, and some say use the "apps" account as "runasuser".
