Wake on demand possible?`

I am using FreeNAS at home, so it's not needed all the time and I wouldn't want it to consume power even if I am out for some days. My very easy solution is a cron job that shuts down the server at 3.00 AM, and Wake On Lan when I need it again (next morning or next week) - which I think is a good mix between implementation effort (2 minutes) and some power saving.
