Wake on Lan

Hello I have free nas all installed I'm trying to figure out how to create a wake on lan so it will turn on. Thanks. I'm also having a hard time trying to find the ip and mac address.

That would have to be an IPMI/BMC function (aka Cisco CIMC, HP iLo, Dell DRAC, etc).

You didn't list your hardware config. Please do that. Does your hardware have IPMI or some kind of BMC?

I'm actually running a rampage gene 3 motherboard and intel 960. I know it's not a real server but it's what I have. The bios has wake on lan. Just wondering how I do it thanks

That depends on your BIOS. You have to send a properly formatted WoL message to the MAC address of the machine.

While FreeNAS is up, ifconfig -a from the command line.

I got it all setup working thank you alot. I can turn it on from my phone now
