So I had a ESXi server connected to a FreeNAS server. Everything was working. I moved, and disconnected and reconnected everything.

Now I'm getting a weird error that doesn't make sense. I have a couple zvols on a ZFS volume shared via iSCSI. I have two CHAP users, one for two different servers. The other one worked fine on boot after moving (a Mac running globalSAN). The VMware not so much. It gives me this after rescanning:

Code:
received CHAP Login with invalid user "chapuser"

Things I've tried- different users, deleting the user, rebooting. Nothing seems to work. Its like FreeNAS refuses to recognize the CHAP user despite being correct.

Help?

Did the IP address change in the move? If so, check your Portals setting.

No, everything was the same.

But I figured it out.

A) I was being dumb because it was late. It should show those messages when accessing a target that has a different CHAP user.
B) The problem was VMware where I had to actually re-add the LUNs for whatever reason, and choose keep signature.
