SOLVED VM's and memory

I was wondering running a VM gave it 16 GB but it looks like this is reserved for it completely. The machine does not need 16 GB but I am used to a vm only taking memory what it needs and the limit is more to a max it can take is this different in bhyve ?

You're thinking of a ballooning device in KVM... bhyve doesn't do that (at least not yet).

Righto that confirms it then gave it 4gb now to see how it reacts but sh*t i'll have to get more memory why is it so damn expansive thanks for the reply btw !
