When searching for information about virtio-fs and customizing the VM config a la virsh edit the only relevant threads that seem to come up are old and obliquely discuss creating a jira ticket somewhere.
As rc1 just dropped is there an updated best practice e.g. for customizing VM config on scale? (Ideally so I can add a virtio-fs mounted file system in a Windows virtual machine for low-overhead pass through file shares from the host). I didn't see any gui options for these types of advanced KVm features right away on rc1, which is fine, but virsh edit seemed not to work even after unmasking the service.
I thought id ask if there are docs or progress has been made since earlier this year for creating/saving/restoring custom VM config or what the state to expect as we near release.
