I can only find reference to the sommands launched by the middleware in /var/log/middleware.log which seems to point to a temp script file in /tmp that is created on the fly to run the job. I think the last run file is left behind there.

I see no reference in any of it (GUI, nor the middleware command) that refers to a log location (even though the command seems to ask for verbose logging with -v).

I can see the logs for my B2 backup via the task manager icon on the top line of the gui.

Now that you said that, I probed a bit harder and I can click the "status" (in my case a green "button" saying Success) against the cloud sync task of interest to see the logs and optionally download them from there.

unfortunately i have snapshots going every 15 minutes..by the time i get to the machine the next morning that gui think says it failed..i need to find the log that says why...the gui's buffer is full of the snapshot success messages...but the reason for the cloud syncs failure has been buried and removed. So i need to find the location of the log file for cloud sync tasks so i can see why it failed.
