Hello everybody,

I would like to create a regular backup of the VM from the TrueNAS. That would not be a problem.

However, I have a problem with the fact that I would like to make a backup of the data on the data disk on file level and here I get around working with access data from the server.

Unfortunately that doesn't work because apparently there is no "mlocate" on the machine which is a prerequisite for creating a backup "Enable Guest File System Index".

If it were a normal Linux server then that would not be a problem and I could simply install it afterwards and thus would have no problem but how do I get it to run under TrueNAS?

Thanks for your feedback.

Best regards

TrueNAS Core is based on FreeBSD, and it is not supported by Veeam Backup for Guest Processing.
Maybe, it may work with TrueNAS Scale, which is based on Linux Debian.
