Did try to install 9.3 via upgrade with my RAID-Z2 physically disconnected. I added a spare drive mounted as ZFS and install crapped out due to "File system Full" error.
I tried to do a clean install reflashing the USB key with Win32diskimager and burn the 9.3 ISO version.
Boot was fine, except when I was given option where to install the OS.
For some reason the tool would show my USB key to be 500TB and my Hard drive 8GB. Quite confusing.
Fianlly, I reverted to use the 9.2.1.7 ISO to reflash the USB key and reload the configuration files used on my 9.2.1.8 release, and then perform the upgrade to 9.3.
Quite a lengthy process.
The upgrade is definitely a different process and quite confusing too.
During the upgrade, there where moments the display would not update, and I thought the install might have crashed, but this was not the case.
I did however interrupt the install and reboot my machine when I saw the display populated with dots, and some other characters. I thought it was a crash, but when it rebooted, it started from what seemed to be it last action. I then noticed the Key generator warning me that the process could take a while. It did.
It would be nice to be able to have the last message persisting on the screen rather than being swept off.
It is finally installed but I will be cautious about trying it on my current RAIDZ2 volume.
