USB Boot Drive - Expanding it

Hi Guys,

Right, after spending literally the whole day googling and searching this forum i'm no closer to figuring my problem out.

I have a 32gb USB drive loaded with FreeNAS 8.3.1 in my ML110 G3. I am trying to install some updates and plugins but I am getting an error complaining that the filesystem is full:

Code:

/mnt: write failed, filesystem is full

My question is simple - How to I expand the filesystem to allow me to utilise the space!

I'm not familiar with BSD\Linux in general so I'm probably getting my search terms\criteria totally wrong when searching for help......

Hi mashymoo,

The short answer is you don't. Read this:

Then, read this:

http://doc.freenas.org/index.php/Plugins

to see the supported way of installing extra software.

You might want to go out & get a 4GB key to run FreeNAS from.
