UPS selection un GUI and getting NUT to work

I'm pretty sure this must have been already discussed here, well here we go (sorry if double posted):
In FreeNAS 8.2.0-p1 (and also 8.0.4), there is no way to select some UPSes.

Try selecting Liebert ups2 Powershure PSA USB (usbhid ups), apply, and when reopening GUI, you'll find Tripp-Lite ups 2 smart2200RMXL2U USB, newer models (usbhid-ups) instead of the one you selected.
There is noway to get NUT running. When trying, i get
"Communication with UPS ups lost"

Device should be working as NUT can detect it right:
# nut-scanner
Scanning USB bus.
No start IP, skipping SNMP
No start IP, skipping NUT bus (old connect method)
[nutdev1]
driver = "usbhid-ups"
port = "auto"
vendorid = "10AF"

bus = "/dev/usb"

I'm also pretty sure to have selected the right usb port (i checked with # dmesg where the UPS is connected).

Here's my /etc/local/nut/ups.conf file

desc = "Liebert"

Well i'm clueless...
I'll be gratefull for any illumination here.

Hello FN Fellowers,

I've a similar problem regarding UPS on FN8.2-p1-x64. When I select my proper UPS (Cyber Power Systems ups 2 Value 600E USB (usbhid-ups)), the service is running properly, but after a restart of the Server there is alway the Tripp-Lite ups 2 smart2200RMXL2U USB, newer models (usbhid-ups) device selected and the communication with the UPS fails. When my Proper device is selected again, everything works fine.
Does anyone other made similar experience or knows a solution?

I opened a ticket on this awhile back, obviously it still hasn't been fixed.

I think the UPS you've selected previously is still the one being used, it's just when you open the list again it defaults to the first item in the list.... I'll find the ticket so people can add a +1 and maybe it'll get fixed.

This ticket is VERY LOW priority, it is a cosmetic issue, that is not even an issue in the end...

would be very low if somehow it would work...
But in the end i never got that UPS to work with FreeNAS 8.0.4 - 8.2-p1
Cosmetic issue or not, it's kinda disturbing and most admins would search an error lying there even if in the end it's not GUI related.
Also, FreeNAS is supposed to be enterprise grade software, so these kind of glitches should not really persist for months.

Anyway, anyone got the Liebert PSA to work ? Thanks.

Problem solved for me in 8.3 release, no log messages anymore
