UPS and redundant power supplies (probably a dumb or noob question)

I have TrueNAS Core installed on a Dell PowerEdge server with redundant power supplies. I have PS1 on UPS, and PS2 is connected to line on a different breaker. It took me some hours/days to finally get NUT working, and I have been testing it for a couple of weeks and it looks like I finally got it. There is only one big gaping issue remaining: I do not want the system to shutdown when UPS switches to battery, while PS2 is online (for example I may need to replace battery in UPS or moving things around in the cabinet, etc.).

I have been looking high and low for some sort of information or solution on this, and I am lost. I have no idea where to look. Any suggestions?

I have found configurations with more than one UPS in NUT documentation and in this forum (for example this: https://www.truenas.com/community/threads/monitoring-multiple-redundant-upss.68660/) , but not anywhere where I can compensate for redundant power supplies (is this even possible?).
