Is there a method to trigger a graceful shutdown when FreeNAS loses power to a redundant power supply?
I've got a Supermicro SC825 2U Rackmount Server case which has redundant Power Supplies. I've got a UPS with no USB data connection to signal power loss. I'd like to plug one PS into the UPS while the other PS is connected to a different source. So when the power is cut, only the UPS-connected PS will be active and the server will initiate shutdown.
I imagine the chassis would give some syslog or set a value when power fails- the chassis makes an audible alarm. Then I'd need something to notice that event and take action.
