Upgrading TrueNAS-12-U8.1 to TrueNAS 13.0-U2?

When 13.0 was first release I read of people having issue with Plugins and Jails when upgrading from 12.0. Now that TrueNAS 13.0 has been out for a while, and TrueNAS 12.0 being at end of life, what are my chances of pain free upgrade?

My machine is a pretty basic Plex server running Plex-plexpass, Sabnzbd, radarr, sonarr, tautulli.

Well, it has been the same with the last major upgrade. Therefore I had waited to upgrade from 11.3U5 until 12.0U8.1 in February 2022. I don't need any of the new features and will certainly wait another 4-6 months.

I cannot tell for plugins and jails, but TrueNAS-13.0u2 is still suffering a very annoying issue with snapshots over NFS.

If I were you I will stay on TrueNAS-12.0u8.1 until this bug is fixed.

I have the same question, though with VM's and other jails like Nextcloud and Home assistant. Would they import all the settings over the new 13.0u3 release from 12.0u8.1? Do I have to do anything before considering to upgrading to the latest release? BTW the snapshots will be solved on release 13.0u4
