Good Evening Guys,

I have looked through the forums for an answer but have come up empty handed and honestly am starting to freak out a bit, I have just updated from 8.3 I believe to 9.1. I am trying to import my old volumes... Its not happening and am starting to think I may have hosed myself by upgrading. Any ideas?

Ok.. 2 things:

1. Slow down. Your data is safe from any upgrade that goes badly... so long as you don't do anything damaging to your disks.
2. What did you do to upgrade? If you just do the standard upgrade the UFS drives and/or ZFS pools should "just mount" and work. So if that's not happening we need more info. Make sure to include any information that we request in the stickies such as hardware information and error messages. Provide us with as much information as possible.

Ok,

I have calmed down now... thanks for talking me down off the roof!

I upgraded Monday night via a CD onto the original OS hard drive (250 gig) as an upgrade option (GUI driven). When I completed the upgrade I logged in and my drives where visible but had errors in all categories as far as size, health and so on. I rebooted to try and fresh the drives and got the error 19 thing going on. Looked on the forum and saw the post about possible hardware issues, being my last name is cursed, I figured the drive may of been corrupt so I tried booting using the F2 option which I understood will boot to original version but when it tries to boot now, it shows F1, F2 and F5 then a command prompt that shows F2 with # or / that keeps repeating but never boots.

I grabbed a spare drive and did a fresh install of 9.1 on it and it boots just fine but shows the same errors for all drives. All the drives where UFS format. I will post some hardware specs after I get home from work but figured I'd at least get this info out for now.

Thanks again for the help guys,

Jeremy

Sorry it took a bit to get back in here. Just had our first baby.... Needless to say its been a roller-coaster. I have looked around and cannot find anything as far as system info that I could see would be helpful. Could you direct me on what info would be helpful?
