Upgrading custom jails after updating from 9.3 to 9.10

When I try to add ports to a jail I get the following error.
"/usr/ports/Mk/bsd.port.mk", line 1194: UNAME_r (10.3-RELEASE) and OSVERSION (903000) do not agree on major version number.

What is the easiest recommended method to upgrade the jails so that they match the host?

You can't. If you want to do any maintenance or updates in your jails, you'll need to destroy the jails dataset and recreate your jails so that they are using the 10 template.
