Upgrade from v0.69rc2

Hello.

I've a system with the 0.69rc2 version installed and i want to upgrade to an actual 8.0.3 version.

I haven´t raid or mirroring, only 8 disks with UFS (GPT and SOFT UPDATES) and one more with two partitions (one for system and the other for data).

Please , could someone indicate me which are the correct steps in order to upgrade the system?

Do I need to do previous data backup, or is sufficient doing a backup of the configuration file?
