Unable to access the web interface for Transmission

I'm able to ping the IP address for Transmission, but unable to open the web interface using http://ipaddress:9091/

Am I using the correct port number? If so, what else can I do to troubleshoot this?

you're sure the ipaddress is that of the jail?
If so, you could run sockstat in the jail to see if anything is binding to port 9091. Ideally a process owned by the transmission user is.

Resolved this issue by creating a new volume and dataset with different permissions. After reinstalling the Bit Torrent plugin I was able to connect to the Transmission web interface using http://ipaddress:9091/
