I am using some tunables type "loader" for my 9.3 FreeNAS installation but they don't do anything even after rebooting several times.
The only time they start working is when I apply an update (via System -> Update) and with the next reboot the tuanbles start working.
Even when writing it directly into /boot/loader.conf still no effect.
I tried a fresh install both on my physical test box and on VMware and this is re-producable any time. Has anybody else seen this?
Tunables I use for example (that require to be added in the loader section):
mpslsi_load="YES" (LSI 9207 driver)
vfs.zfs.cache_flush_disable=1 (HDD cache)
