Did use serialport for UPS on TrueNAS CORE.

On SCALE it is not possible to set the serialport for UPS, since it is the same port# as will be used by SCALE if "Enable Serial Console" communication for TrueNAS (ttyS0), and that just generate an error message in TrueNAS UPS settings: "UPS port must be different then the port specified for serial port for console in system advanced settings."

Why can't you use /dev/ttyS1 (i.e., COM2)?

Tried that now, does not work.
Maybe because ESXi setup?
Also tried to change Serial port on VM from /uart0 to /uart1

Tnx!
Tried again. Was the ESXi VM config, had to create a Serial Port 2, with same /dev as Port 1.
Now /dev/ttyS1 works in TrueNAS SCALE as in CORE.

It relays UPS info to NUT/Home Assistant which was priority 1 for me, but does not generate any info on the Reporting page in SCALE, maybe it has to run some time.

(In the hours between, I popped in a AP9631 network card in the APC Smart-UPS RT 2000 XL, which I could not make work with TrueNAS).
