Eaton 9PX UPS - problems with connecting to TrueNAS

Hello,

I am currently trying to setup my Eaton 9PX with TrueNAS Scale (22.02.2). I got a network card (Eaton Network-M2) up and running.

I tried using IPP (Intelligent Power Protector) from Eaton but after an update from TrueNAS it is gone. Then I remembered TrueNAS is an appliance and you are not supposed to install anything.

Then my next step was to use the integrated ups service. I am struggling to get it to work. I tried the UPS Mode Master but I couldn't find the driver for the 9PX. I checked for the driver at https://networkupstools.org/ddl/Eaton/9PX.html but I couldn't find that driver in the list in TrueNAS.

When using the slave mode, I setup a local user (truenas) on the 9PX.

Now I wanted to use that user and connect to the 9PX via TrueNAS. When setting up everything and pressing save, I get following message in journalctl -xe:
Jul 13 14:38:42 truenas collectd[2572155]: nut plugin: nut_connect: upscli_connect (192.168.74.54, 3493) failed: Connection failure: Connection refused

I am a little lost..
Can someone point me in the right direction on how to connect the 9PX to TrueNAS.

Best regards

Since there is a network card and IP address for the UPS, try following the post here https://www.truenas.com/community/t...-eaton-m2-card-and-truenas.114034/post-789654

in the same thread @Mischfabrik also suggested the use of the driver: Eaton ups 5 BladeUPS (SNMP) ConnectUPS Web/SNMP Card (snmp-ups, experimental) / Powerware ups 5 BladeUPS (SNMP) ConnectUPS Web/SNMP Card (snmp-ups, experimental) as he was having the same/similar issue and was able to get it working.
