Truenas only showing one of two disk arrays

hmm. they do look legit. it does seem like dual pathing could be part of what you are seeing. I have never used that.

Ok I will try swapping them/using them one by one. I don't know if I believe that (but I am definitely not knowledgeable in the topic) since during truenas install all the drives show up "correctly", and the 4 boot drives show up as 4 not 8. But again I don't know.

At the BIOS level, the drives are seen and enumerated by their individual SAS paths. But during the install process, the gmultipath driver loads, and "combines" the disks into a single device - I assume that's what you're seeing during the installation process.
