Truenas crashes Edge Router X when both Ehternet jacks are connection, with no jails running

So, here's the issue I'm having. Brand new TrueNAS Core install. NIC jacks straight into an Edgerouter X. No Jails running(some setup but turned off). Network tanks from what I can only assume is a broadcast storm. Remove ether jack and things return to normal after a few minutes. Now, I've read that it could be trying to bridge the two interfaces on the same switch which can cause this, but the suggested root case of a bad jail doesn't fit. It still happens no matter what is running.

Honestly, I'm at a bit of a loss as where to look next.

Never connect two interfaces to the same LAN. Simple. If you need redundant connectivity you must use LACP.
