I'm working on setting up a Transmission jail with OpenVPN. I'm on FreeNAS-11.2-RC1.

In a thread on resolving a tun0 issue for OpenVPN, a user suggested changing

I just tried enabling promiscuous mode on the host interface bge0 but that doesn't appear to have helped .. (checked after restarting the jail)

Thanks, I deleted the jail and started from scratch using the new iocage code mentioned here: https://redmine.ixsystems.com/issues/40872
Networking on the jail is working, but I'm still working through the OpenVPN "Cannot allocate TUN/TAP dev dynamically" error.. The above should have solved it but unfortunately not for me

RC2 will have some additional fixes for the tun/tap issue.
