Hi All,

I see this in the documentation the multi-path is now legacy and fiber channel is migrating to "wide porting" on fiber channel.

I cannot see others talking about "wide porting" with fiber channel. Is this something that is also called something else?

Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe,

FNC is used in this document as an old shorthand for "FreeNAS Certified" - the difference here is between two types of SAS cabling topology.

Fibre Channel (FC) has never been officially supported on TrueNAS CORE, only TrueNAS Enterprise systems.

Hope this helps clear things up.
